Ok well I have run two batteries through this thing and I can honestly say it is really good fun. I have only dared go as high as the garden fence so far, but in calm conditions this helicopter will happily fly outside and I would say to a decent height if I wanted it to. I did of course have it on the beginners setting, which allows for the auto-take off and landing button to be used. Even with my complete lack of any flight experience or expertise, this little helicopter was pretty easy to fly once I had got the hang of the controls.

The most impressive thing about it was the durability. I was using auto-take off and letting it hover for a moment before extremely carefully using the controls to make it move around in the garden a bit at about shoulder height. I was just feathering the controls in order to get used to it slowly.

I can tell you that as helicopters go, it is extremely easy to control. There were a few moments where I forgot which controls did what and accidentally sent it shooting off in one direction quickly, but it was really easy to counter it and level it back out to a hover again. I eventually completed several short flights with no crashes at all.

I would say for anyone thinking of buying this - make sure you have a decent open space and you can practise flying it around at 1.5 metres and as long as you do not send it full speed into a wall, I would say you are unlikely to need the spare blades. It is so lightweight that it really doesn’t do any damage to itself when it crashes.

Overall it was crash proof, super easy to learn, and I hit myself with it twice and it didn’t hurt! As someone that is mainly into cars, I give it 10/10 as I genuinely cannot think of any way that it could be improved.
