Arrma Vendetta Upgrades , problems and updates


After running my vendetta on standard gearing the next step is to run and speed meter it on the high speed gearing. I have changed the pinion gear and charged the battery excited to see the speed difference so I gently drove down the road and after the first 20 meters the car started slowing and I noticed a high pitch whine (sigh)… upon inspection the plastic hub on the slipper clutch has melted into the spur gear bearing and will not tighten , I have replaced the spur gear which comes with the plastic hub , this seems like it will need upgrading so I have done some research and will use the slipper system from the 3s typhon , granite and senton as this system is much stronger , I am fitting a 6s esc to the car (voiding all warranties) and will run the original motor on 4s with some slight modifications before fitting a 2200kv motor to run 6s through , after some research and help from customers at the shop I have seen these fitted on the original motor mount with little to no modifications needed…. Last but not least I’m fitting lights for the evening runs . The weather and light are the only challenge’s this time of year but that’s part of the fun so keep watching this space for updates and news !
