Unboxing the HPI Racing RS4 sport 3 creator edition

As some of you may know a few of us at wheelspin have been tinkering with Tamiya TT02's to try and see what sort of top speed we can get with a cheap chassis. Well that got me thinking, what other cheap touring car chassis could I use to join in? And then it came to me! The HPI RS4 creator edition.

AWESOME! Right, now for the unboxing part, let's take a look at what comes in the box as standard. So first thing you see is an instruction manual and a sticker sheet, both very important as the manual contains all of the part numbers for the spare parts along with exploded views to help you along the way when maintaining and repairing it. The stickers are important because we all love stickers.... simples!

Next we have some bags that contain the rest of your basic chassis parts including a servo saver set, wheel hex's and pins, front bumper foam, body post set, some basic tools and a few other bits and bobs.

Now on to the chassis and well. . . It looks great! At a similar price to a basic Tamiya kit this RS4 comes as standard with oil filled shocks, full steel shielded bearings, adjustable aluminium motor mount and metal gear grease filled diffs just to start. Overall the chassis just feel tighter and made of better materials and generally just better quality.

Looking at the contents I am looking forward to starting work on this chassis and hopefully my plan will work and I will be able to get some speed runs done and beat Simon and Rich's Tamiya's.
