HPI VORZA TRUGGY FLUX REVIEW

HPI over recent years have gained a bit of a bad reputation for being unreliable and overpriced with bad spares back up, Which is a real shame as go back to 2010 and HPI was the brand to own! Well they have been nice enough to lend us a few cars to take out and have a play with to get an understanding of what their newer models are like. So here it is…

The HPI Vorza Truggy Flux! Now, the name Vorza will probably sound familiar to you, and you would be right. The Vorza whilst not a new name, is a new model and the first impression is it looks great, the sleek body styling and low slung chassis makes it look like it's ready to hit the race track. But how will it fare over Cannock Chase?  Let's find out!

The first thing that is worth mentioning is the performance. It's fast. Very fast!

The acceleration is insane, even on the rugged and rough terrain of cannock chase, it launches so well. The ride height is a bit of an issue however, it is very low slung meaning on the rough stuff it bounces around a bit and the chassis has taken a bit of a beating if we are honest.

What a laugh this car is! I am guilty of giving HPI a hard time over the past couple of years as a few of us are; however this Vorza has really changed my perspective. The handling, the speed just works well. Even on rough terrain. It jumps well too! It is very easy to balance in the air and even when it does eventually go tumbling it just takes it and carries on.

So what are my final thoughts on the HPI Vorza Truggy Flux?

It’s great! I genuinely really like it. I like the looks, I like the power it has and I like that you can be a bit heavy handed with it and it just seems to take it in its stride. And as the prices across the HPI range have now been dropped a but it’s a lot better in terms of value for money. Spare parts are available and a few upgrades can be added to make it even better than stock. I think it is fair to say that HPI have really put some effort into this model to try and catch up with other brands on the market which is great to see… Finally!

 BRAVO HPI, BRAVO!
