Schumacher Mission FT Review

Well guys I am just going to do a review of this new kit - the Schumacher Mission FT. I was getting a bit bored of building the Tamiya TT-02’s and wanted to try something different.

This kit is front wheel drive belt driven, and is using a fast brushed motor setup and crawler ESC. So certainly something a bit different.

Unusual colour scheme for an unusual car - but what will the performance look like?

Well I took it out for a first drive in a local car park on a quiet Sunday afternoon not knowing how the car would behave or feel.

The result - absolutely superb. I am very shocked by just how good it actually is. The handling is absolutely pinpoint and the car tracks perfectly straight. I’m also loving belt drive - the car just whistles along with what seems like absolutely no effort at all.

It requires absolutely no fiddling with or setting up. It literally feels like a race car out of the box. I was able to go round a 90 degree bend at full speed (approx 40mph), and it didn’t make any drama about it at all - it just felt planted to the road.

Handling wise I can tell that it is front wheel drive as the car seems to pull itself through the bend and does not do anything dramatic at all. Some may call it boring but I would just say it’s predictable and accurate. It still turns nice and tightly if you want it to do that.

I laid out some cones to see what it cornered like and it was incredible. I genuinely feel like I could just take this to a race track and it would be super competitive straight out of the box. I used it for a full battery (approx 25 minutes) and I didn’t crash a single time which was a first for me! Fantastic kit by Schumacher.
