Tamiya 1/35 Toyota Model Ab Phaeton

An early step on the road to greatness
The AB was a soft-top variant of the Model AA, and inherited features such as the 3.4-liter inline-6 engine and live axle leaf spring front/rear suspension. It differed from the AA in its folding cloth roof, dedicated windshield design, and front-hinged door layout. To make room for the new folding auxiliary seats, the rear seat bank was moved somewhat further back. Of the 353 which were produced by 1938, the majority were eventually sent to the military and never made it into the hands of the public as was originally intended.

About the Model
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Toyota Model AB Phaeton.
- Length: 139mm, width: 50mm, height: 53mm.
- The elegant body with smooth, classically curved fenders and front grille is concisely captured.
- Folding roof can be depicted as deployed or folded away and features a highly realistic finish.
- Accurately recreated interior with authentic main seats joined by auxiliary seats that can be constructed as up or down.
- Underside shows off excellent attention to detail.
- Driver figure included.

- Deployed roof parts beautifully depict the cloth, right down to the folds and creases

- Clear parts ensure that the plastic window in the hood rear is accurately captured.

- Don't forget to check out the underside, which also boasts great attention to detail.

- Choose between depicting the folding auxiliary seats in deployed or stowed state.

- The cloth roof can also be attached in deployed position, allowing a closer view of the rear seat.
