Traxxas Skill Level Guide - Choose the Model That is Right For You.
The below skill level guide provides a good overview of our product lineup. The skill levels range from 'Skill Level 1', which requires no prior radio control experience to our highest rating, 'Skill Level 10', that is for expert drivers only. The fastest vehicle may be the most appealing, but we recommend starting with a 'Skill Level 1' or 'Skill Level 2' vehicle to insure a successful entry into the radio control hobby. Skill Level 1
No previous experience with radio controlled models is required. Models require a minimum of setup, maintenance, or support equipment.
Skill Level 2
Previous experience with radio controlled models is recommended. Models require a higher level of setup, maintenance, or support equipment.
Skill Level 3
Previous experience with radio controlled models is mandatory. Models require detailed setup, and/or maintenance procedures with required support equipment. These models are capable of high speeds, requiring experienced driving control.
Skill Level 4
Previous experience with radio controlled models is mandatory. Models require detailed setup, and/or maintenance procedures with required support equipment. These models are capable of very high speeds and require an even higher level of skilled driving control.
Skill Level 5
For Expert Drivers Only. Previous experience with nitro-powered radio controlled models is required! These models are capable of extreme speed and acceleration! They carry our highest skill level rating and are intended for expert drivers only.
Skill Level 6
For Expert Drivers Only. Previous experience with radio controlled models is required! These models are very large, capable of high speed and acceleration, and require the use LiPo batteries! These models are intended for advanced users that have the experience, knowledge, and maturity to safely operate and maintain the vehicle and the LiPo battery system for the safety of themselves and others.
Skill Level 10
For Expert Drivers Only. Previous experience with high-power radio controlled models is required! These models are capable of extreme speed and acceleration! They carry our highest skill level rating (10) and are intended for expert drivers only. This model is not intended for use by children or minors younger than 16 years old. Individuals younger than 16 years old require responsible adult supervision during operation and maintenance.
