#ORI88600: Orion V6 Adjustable Clutch and Flywheel - 1/8th Buggies

The V6 CRF Clutch is yet another groundbreaking design from engineering wizard Fabrice Ramella.  The CRF V6 Clutch allows precision engagement point adjustments to transfer engine power to the car’s transmission in the most efficient way possible.


One of the most important tuning adjustments one can make to 1/8 Buggies and Truggies is the clutch engagement point.  Standard clutches only allow a compromise between two or three spring options to adjust the engagement point.  The CRF V6 Clutch provides infinite adjustment possibilities to allow fine-tuning in any vehicle/engine combinations and any surface condition.


The CRF V6 Clutch also addresses the flaws found in other similar designs.  These designs require the clutch shoes to move forward in order for the clutch to engage.  This creates excessive stress on the clutch bearings, which can cause their premature failure.  This forward movement also exposes sensitive parts to dirt and residue, which over time causes the clutch to bind and hinder proper function.


The CRF design eliminates forward movement of the clutch shoes.  This, along with its 6-shoe design to provide a wider contact surface area, improves consistency, reduces wear, improves performance, and reduces lap times.



Fabrice Ramella founder of the CRF racing system has developed an application specific clutch shoe/weight and spring set-up to enhance the extreme power delivery of his CRF engine line.  This new clutch system, the CRF centax type clutch shoe set, enhances the CRF experience by curing many of the problems found with many OEM clutch components when using the CRF line of engines.
