The Traxxas Revo 3.3 TSM (part number TRX53097-3) builds on an already acclaimed chassis with more punch and more in-the-box accessories to redefine Ready to Run convenience. It retains the hallmark inboard suspension with a robust pushrod and bellcrank layout, helping to keep the finely tuned Traxxas shock absorbers shielded from the elements for consistent performance.

Durability and control are central to the Revo 3.3’s design. Cleverly engineered, rubber grommeted drive shafts and suspension knuckles work together with a bigger, tougher overall construction for confidence across demanding terrain. Dual high-torque steering servos with waterproof casings provide strong, reliable steering response, while Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) adds an extra layer of control. The TQi 2.4GHz radio system with Wireless Link rounds out a modern, connected driving experience.

Practical touches enhance the experience right out of the box. An OptiDrive transmission with reverse adds manoeuvrability, and rechargeable batteries are included: a 7.2v EZ Start battery and an on-board hump pack. You also get useful extras such as spare air filter foams, spare glow plugs, and a fuel bottle, plus a newly developed aggressively styled bodyshell and paint scheme to match the truck’s intent.

Went for the blue Revo, looks amazing in the flesh! I really like it as a follow on from my old 2.5r. The 3.3 is my first ever new Traxxas, and to be fair I was amazed by the amount of extra goodies that is supplied with this truck. The manuals are very detailed and clearly they're an aid to help the owner, an abundance of information - very good. First start of the engine was effortless, best ever starting of any new nitro engine I've ever experienced. And it idled consistently too for its first two tanks, didn't cut out once. It's a big truck, has presence which I like, and even though it was gently trundling back and forth from its third tank onwards when running in, I could tell it was going to be a very capable RC when it finds a tune. However - nearing the end of the 3rd tank I lost throttle control. No movement from the 2056 servo - so I switched it all off for a few moments then restarted. All seemed well again, it moved for throttle and brake. Nearing the end of the 4th tank now doing short throttle bursts for a few seconds and idling it then lost throttle control again - this time the servo had burnt out - not sure why!! Having removed the servo it doesn't feel amazing quality like I was expecting for a high priced near £600 RC, very light and all plastic. I have now fitted a stronger metal geared servo which works perfectly and will last. Having seen the failure of that servo in such a short time it's put some doubts in my mind over the lifespan of the remaining servos... Considering how much I was looking forward to owning a new Revo, the servo failure so soon has put a cloud over it, I feel like giving it 4 stars, but, I know the capabilities and grin factor of the Revo are far greater than that so I'll leave it with 5 stars.
