Our high-quality aluminum Big Bore shocks are packaged in convenient 8-packs just for Maxx Truck enthusiasts. The Big Bore shocks are hard-anodized and PTFE-coated for the smoothest operation possible and they feature internal diaphragms that help keep the air and oil separated for increased performance. These shocks also include our super smooth, long wearing titanium nitride (TiN) coated shock shafts. The shocks are completely assembled and include red, 2.5 rate shock springs, additional shock pistons and clip on pre-load spacers that make ride height adjustments a snap.

Hi, Will these fit the original t-maxx? Can you do a heavier spring? Got my truck second hand it's all aluminium and much heavier than stock but only got standard shocks that can't cope. Many thanks.
Asked by Tony on 22nd July 2017
Yes, these will fit the original T-MAXX with 8 shocks. The only upgrade springs I know to now are TRX4957R

I understand that the springs on TRX4962 are soft, do you have progressive springs for these? Will the ultra shock progressive springs fit even if I use the top and bottom mounts? Thanks
Asked by Nairn on 29th September 2017

The TRX4957R progressive springs will still fit

Will this make my traxxas E- Maxx sit higher?
Asked by Komal on 16th September 2019

They'll make the suspension much smoother. Ride height itself though is determined by how many of the "horseshoe" spring pre-load clips you fit.
