The 111th Royal Air Force Squadron is as storied as any squadron in the RAF. In 1974, the squadron received the first of its F-4 Phantoms. These high-performance aircraft helped fill the gaps that the shorter ranged, less powerful English Electric Lightning left in the RAF's defences during the Cold War. In 1975, RAF 111 and its F-4s redeployed to Leuchars-the northernmost air base in the British Isles. From there, they were responsible for interdicting Soviet recon missions.
This limited edition kit features two sets of RAF 111th Squadron decals.
