With its foolproof 'plug and charge' interface you just connect your battery and press the button, whereupon the Recoil automatically selects the appropriate charge current. Supporting 1 – 8 cells at up to 2 amps on AC power, it gets you going again with a minimal wait. Sleek and compact in design this neat unit will also help to keep your workspace uncluttered. Is this faster than a standard wall plug charger

Yes, this will charge at up to 2 Amps - which is a lot faster than most trickle chargers.
