Are all leads connected or will I need to purchase and/or solder anything?
Asked by Robert Blackett on 13th January 2019

No battery connection included.

The motor comes with connections fitted, the other half are included but not fitted so the customer can shorten motor wires and then solder on connections

Would this work in my ftx outlaw running 3s?
Asked by Luke Bradley on 2nd May 2019

It'd be OK on 2S, but 3S would be too much.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Would this work in my Tamiya Neo scorcher running 3s? and how fast will it go.
Asked by Felix on 27th May 2019

It will fit in that car no problem, but we'd recommend a 2S maximum.

Could i upgrade the FTX brushed Carnage with this?
Asked by Mark Williams on 9th June 2019

It'll fit - but is a bit underpowered for a truck of that weight.

A better choice would be say ET0425

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

What battery connected is it please is it a tamiya connection
Asked by Alan Roadknight on 21st January 2020

These come with deans connected.

Would this be ok as an upgrade for a stampede 4x4 brushed?
Asked by Dave on 13th April 2020

It's a bit underpowered to be honest for a truck of that size.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Would this be a suitable upgrade for a brushed motor in an HSP XSTR buggy? The spec says it will run on 2 - 3 cell LIPO packs but some of your answers suggest 2 cell max, will a 3 cell battery damage the motor or ESC?
Asked by Harry Spillett on 2nd July 2020

We don't sell HSP so I can't advise 100% - but this is a basic combo, you would want to stick to 2S maximum.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hi guys. Hope all well would this fit in Tamiya blitzer beetle please?
Asked by Stephen Wilson on 22nd July 2020

Yes as a blitzer beetle uses a 540 size motor

Answered by: Anthony @ Wheelspin Models

hi Looking at putting this in my neo scorcher, would it run OK with nimh battery ? Also I have 19t motor gear, would I need to change that ?
Asked by Ben Parr on 29th August 2020

It's a basic system but yes it would fit and run in that.

Pinion - I'd see how you get on but you will likely need to run a smaller one

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Please can you tell me how many turns the motor is. ?
Asked by Gregory Cale on 20th November 2020

9.0R = 4350kv

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Would this be suitable for Traxxas slash 2wd?

It's a bit underpowered for the Slash

Would something like this be suitable for converting my hpi bullet st from nitro to electric?
Asked by Simon Brown on 18th January 2021

This is a bit underpowered for a bullet. Take a look at say HW38010203 or HW38010200

Would this fit in a tamiya tt01
Asked by Lewis Paul on 20th March 2021

Yes it would fit a TT01

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Could you cut off the deans connectors and put on different connectors
Asked by Lewis Paul on 20th March 2021

Sure, no reason why you cannot do that

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hi I have a HSP 1:10 with a KV:3300 Bushless motor. ( 03302 HSP PN) will this fit and will it make it faster.
Asked by Harmeet on 23rd September 2021

We don't sell HSP, so it's a bit hard to advise. This is a higher KV than your current system - but just bear in mind it is only a 45A ESC. It may be a touch quicker, but if you're after more speed I would look at a higher spec system eg say HW38010204

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Will it suit and improve outlaw brushed
Asked by Trevor Jones on 29th September 2021

Yes it will, just keep an eye on the motor temps then if it gets too hot then add a 1/10 size heatsink and fan.

Answered by: Anthony @ Wheelspin Models

Hi, would this be suitable for changing a brushed FTX Zorro to brushless operation?
Asked by John Yallop on 18th May 2022

Its will work but we would highly recommend this system which has more torque and can run on 2s or 3s lipo ,the one you linked will only run on 2s lipo .
