This tool is specialy designed to start nitro engines. Normally, it is used on nitro powered helicopters like the Raptor series or more recently, it can be used to start a shaft starting type Nitro engine.(Like TT "K" series engine)To use this tool to start an engine, you have to use a special R/C electric starter device and battery. The 6mm ball size is fit with most of the nitro heli engine starting coupler.
