does this esc replace msc in vintage Tamiya clodbuster
Asked by Christopher Bainbridge on 22nd October 2018

Yes, this will replace an older mechanical speed controller (and the servo).

I am also looking for a replacement for a vintage Bigwig, is this compatible with 8.4v batteries too?
Asked by Mathew Lloyd on 20th December 2019

Input voltage on these is listed as 6.6-7.2v, so 8.4v isn't officially recommended.

Something like HW30120201 however would be fine on 8.4v and should fulfill your needs.
