XRay Chassis 5mm - Flex - CNC Machined - Swiss 7075 T6

This is an optional XRAY 5mm Flex CNC Machined Chassis, and is intended for use with the XRAY RX8 and RX8 2012 Spec. This lightweight aluminum 5mm thick chassis has been strategically machined in low-stress areas to make it as light as possible without affecting strength or rigidity. The premium Swiss 7075 T6 chassis was strategically lightened to provide more flex which gives more traction and steering. The area under the engine is solid without any openings to ensure maximum strength and all screw holes on the bottom are countersunk, allowing for a smooth chassis underside with no protruding screw heads.

The smart design allows you to mount additional weights or stiffeners for complete chassis adjustment. Whether you need to add weight, stiffen the front or rear, or both; you have a choice with optional front/central/rear machined brass weights and front/central/rear graphite stiffeners (not included). At the front of the car, either a brass weight and graphite insert can be mounted fixed or flexible (to avoid an undesired stiffening effect).
