This is the XRAY XT8 2009 Spec 3mm Hard Coated Swiss T6 7075 Aluminum Chassis, intended for use with the XRAY XT8 1/8 truck.

This new XT8 chassis is 13mm longer than the standard #XRA351120 chassis, and moves the weight of the car farther forward for better balance. More traction and steering are gained with the forward placement of the engine, center diff housing, and electronics and the increased wheelbase improves the stability of the car.

CNC-machined from high-quality 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 hardcoated aluminum and strategically machined in low-stress areas to make the chassis as light as possible without affecting strength or rigidity. Material below the engine, fuel tank, and diffs has been removed to give the lowest possible center of gravity. The chassis has optimized weight balance with all parts centralized in the middle for optimum side-to-side weight balance.

All screw holes on the bottom of the chassis are countersunk, allowing for a very smooth chassis underside with no protruding screw heads. The chassis is hardcoated at XRAY’s own in-house fully robotic hardcoating line, ensuring a perfect hardcoated surface.
